Another DVD Review

Hello everyone,
Okay, so I have worked out again, to another DVD. Leslie Sansone's walking away the pounds 3 mile walk. Let me just say this is awesome. Put on your tennis shoes, stand in front of the television and start walking. There is some kicking, lifting your knees but mostly it's walking.

Another great thing about this DVD is that she tells you how to modify the moves so if you can't kick high it's not a big deal, just kick. And, if you can't kick at all, just walk don't stop walking. You can stop the tape at 1, 2, or be like me, and walk the full three miles. There's a warm up which is part of the first mile and it's just so effective. How do I know? Because I have been walking with her for a week now and I have dropped a couple of pounds. Not much I know but you figure two pounds just by walking? Anyone can do this.
On a scale of 1 to 10 ten being buy this DVD, it's a TEN!!! So there you go. And, I will be back with her take on Yoga

Until next time please remember to eat to live and not to live to eat.

Sorry I have been gone but....

I was celebrating my Anniversary. Wedding Anniversary. We had the best time but I'm sure you don't want to know all about it. What I will tell you about it though is that my husband and I took a tour of four vineyards. We tasted many many MANY different wines. Some we liked, some not so much and some were well, gross is a word Yes? But all in all, this experience taught me a lot.

First of all, I'm not that big of a red wine lover. Sure, it's the BEST for you of any wine to drink and if your going to drink a wine, reds the one. However, a lot of those are just too dry. But I did enjoy many of the whites and merlots.

But why am I telling you this? Simple. I gained weight. Oh sure your going to say it's because I ate out for two days and sure, that's part of the reason. But, wine like any other alcohol is really well, fattening.

Nothing puts weight on you faster than drinking any type of booze. One good tip I know though is that the lighter color the alcohol the less calories. At least for most of them. Also, did you know that if it's heavy in color, your about 90% guaranteed a hangover? Yep. It's really true.

Gin, Vodka rarely give you headaches of any type much less a hangover in the morning. But the hard stuff didn't get that name because the punch is soft. (Yeah bad joke)

All in all, no matter what you drink remember, it's going to put calories on you and calories are hard to get off.

Okay, I'm going to come back tomorrow with another workout DVD and I'll tell you what it's all about.

Until then, remember to live to eat don't eat to live.

Going On A Trip?

Well go. Ah, wanna watch your weight? Okay, so do that. I know your wondering how but I'm telling you it's easier than you think.
I'm writing this because I'm going on a trip Monday and won't be gone long but hey, I will be out and that usually means a dinner or three out. But this is what you do.

One tip anyway, order your dinner but, ask them to box half of the dinner BEFORE it hits your plate. They'll do this for you as your still paying for it but this way, you WON'T eat all of it. Especially dishes like pasta which are always too big anyway.

That's what is wrong with this country. I remember when a regular hamburger (You know, the ones now served in the Happy Meal) were the biggest sellers for the adults. Hey, they had to start with something right? And they did. The country was a lot smaller and I mean it's waists. LOL

Anyway, while on a trip, if you can, get a room with a kitchen. That way, you'll have a refrigerator and you can bring some snacks that won't kill you. That's what I'm doing.

Although, I'm being bad because I am going to four winerys and I'm telling you know, this is something I have always longed to do. It comes with a picnic lunch to and while that scares me somewhat cause who knows what you'll get? I'm excited all at the same time.

I'll be back and tell you what it was like. But my point really is this, while on a trip it's okay to splurge because it's a trip!!!! And unless your traveling all the time on business, then it's okay to go off the diet for a few days. It'll be waiting for you when you come home. The diet that is.

Until the next post please remember to eat to live and not to live to eat
